Directions
Directions:
one cup uncooked rice yields about three and one half cups cooked rice.
1. measure 1 cup comet rice, 1 teaspoon of salt (optional) and 1
tablespoon butter or olive oil (optional). 2. add 2 cups water and bring
to a boil. 3. cover with tight-fitting lid. Lower heat and simmer for
15 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork
before serving. To retain vitamins do not rinse before or drain after
cooking. For a drier rice, use slightly less water.
Microwave
directions: 1. refer to chart for desired number of servings. 2.
measure all Ingredients into a 2 to 3 quart microwave-approved dish. 3.
cover and microwave on high for 5 minutes or until mixture comes to a
boil. 4. reduce heat to medium (50% power) for 15 minutes. Remove from
microwave and let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve. Note:
microwave ovens vary. Cooking times are approximate.
