Directions

All-purpose
firestarting made easy. Grills: 1. Place one firestarter flat on grate.
2. Arrange 2 lbs. of charcoal into a neat mound leaving arrows exposed
(Use one firestarter per 2 lbs. of charcoal). 3. Light the firestarter
wrapper at each arrow. Coals are ready when most of the charcoal is
grey. Fires: 1. Place 2 or 3 pieces of split wood in fireplace or fire
pit. 2. Place 1 firestarter between wood (Use up to 2 more firestarters
when lighting larger amount of wood). 3. Light the firestarter wrapper
at each arrow. Allow 15 minutes to achieve full flame. Safety
Instructions: 1. Only add one firestarter(s) when the first fire is out.
2. Always open damper before starting a fire and ensure adequate air
supply. 3. Ensure you have no downdraft and that your chimney and burn
area is clean. 4. Not for use in wood stoves or air tight stoves. 5. Do
not use without a grate and a firescreen. 6. Do not add additional wood
until the firestarter has been consumed or at least 30 minutes after
lighting. 7. This firestarter can become extremely volatile if agitated
while burning – do not move, poke, or break up a burning firestarter or
wood which has been placed on top of firestarter as it may flare up. 8.
If necessary, extinguish with a dry chemical fire extinguisher (UL or
ULC Listed Class B) or douse flames with sand. 9. Do not use flammable
liquids or fireplace gas log lighters to ignite firelog. 10. Use only to
ignite or start charcoal or wood fires. 11. Adult supervision required.
Never leave children, disabled persons or pets alone near fire/firelog;
nor leave fire unattended. 12. Close damper when ashes are cool.
Dispose of ashes properly in a metal can. 13. Clean chimney regularly.

dramatically reduce the likelihood of combustion by-products entering
your home. An inadequate air supply or a downdraft could cause a

properly, a qualified contractor should be consulted.
